Deprecate double dot syntax with git-diff(1)
The double dot syntax in git-diff(1) (git diff <rev>..<rev>
) is often confused with the dotted range notation for revisions and doesn't serve much practical benefit. Let's add a warning to deprecate it in preparation for a potential removal with Git 3.0.
