Issues for Contributor Days - Feb. 2023
This issue is a way to search and mark what issues we think would be good to take on during the Contributor Days
Since the Contributor Days last for only two days, ideally the issues we choose should be fairly quick wins, as this would also allow even newcomers to start having a stab at contributing to GitLab
For each issue we find:
- make sure it is a quick win
- check whether it is backend, frontend, or documentation (other things, like database might be too much for only two days?)
- make sure there is enough information on the issue to allow every contributor to start working on it and, if not present, provide an implementation plan. This can be done later, just mark on the table if the issue is ready or not to let others know if they can pick it up
Possibly every issue matching these filters:
- Open severity4 bugs: https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/issues/?sort=popularity&state=opened&label_name%5B%5D=type%3A%3Abug&label_name%5B%5D=severity%3A%3A4&first_page_size=50
- K8s good for new contributors: https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/issues/?sort=created_date&state=opened&label_name%5B%5D=group%3A%3Aconfigure&label_name%5B%5D=good%20for%20new%20contributors&label_name%5B%5D=Category%3AKubernetes%20Management&first_page_size=20
- All issues mentioned here: gitlab-org/configure/general#312+
