How has this been tested?

On this branch:

  1. Run make bootstrap this will install the dependencies (from mise) that are required.
  2. Run lefthook install to have it installed in your repo

Make some changes and try to commit/push - you'll see the checks run similarly to the main gitlab-org/gitlab project.
