Ability to specify SSH hostname
We have a kubernetes cluster with an nginx ingress controller and an AWS ALB in front of the controller offloading TLS. This works fine for unicorn, but it doesn't work for SSH access which by default lives on the same hostname and can therefore not be on a different entrypoint. I found that adding
gitlab.yml.erb: |
production: &base
gitlab:
...
ssh_host: foobar.com
to the unicorn configmap.yml
makes gitlab report the specified hostname as the git hostname which allows us to have alternate DNS records for the SSH service. It would be nice if we could specify this in the values.yaml
file.
I'm not sure adding this is enough or if other parts of the gitlab chart also need this configuration specified somewhere. If someone more knowledgable could confirm this I'd be more than happy to open an MR.
