Revert "Merge branch 'jcamgl/manually-specify-nodename' into 'master'"

This reverts merge request !115 (merged)

It caused issues with deployment pipelines for the customersdot environment. Will work with teams to identify and adapt to the impacts of this change before re-applying it.

This will also bump the version to 1.9.2 to avoid having 1.9.1 accidentally deployed
