Why is this change being made?

To achieve our business goals, GitLab requires top talent SVP level leaders to effectively grow the business from $200m to $500m on the way to $1B+. Historically GitLab has recruited and hired in at the VP job title/grade level for Leaders reporting into the CRO. With expanding scope and the need to hire more senior talent into the organization as we scale, the SVP level creates an organizational structure that aligns to business needs and market data.
