Reason why

• While the word "viral" is commonly used to convey rapid exposure or growth in social media, the term refers to a type of pathogen which can cause great harm and death. In late 2019, a noval coronvirus called SARS-CoV-2 began spreading around the world and has killed millions of people, using this term to refer to business or social media growth can be offense to those who have suffered from viruses like SARS-CoV-2.
