Adjust organization based on Bartek moving to VP of incubation

With Bartek (who previously led the Fulfillment sub-department) accepting the VP of Incubation role, we decided to do some restructuring in Development.

What is the new reporting structure?

What is not changing?

• No change to priorities or other reporting structure changes for the engineering teams
• No impact to product management (other than some PMs coordinating with different engineering directors)

Why a senior manager position for fulfillment vs backfilling with a director?

When we originally planned the development team we were expecting roughly 150% growth in year 1 and another 75-100% growth in year 2. This justified having Directors for the various sections. At the time we anticipated growing both Growth, Fulfillment, and Defend/Protect to full size. Since then we have made adjustments and the Defend/Protect section moved into the Sec section. We have grown both Growth and Fulfillment, but between the two sections it didn’t justify two directors. For these reasons it makes sense to consolidate senior leadership to 5 directors for the Development organization.

Additionally, creating a senior manager reporting to Wayne creates an opportunity to promote someone internally to a senior manager.
