Why is this change being made?

Per this issue: gitlab-org/ai-powered/ai-framework/team-hq#26+.

I would like to start the process of becoming a maintainer for the AI Gateway project.

I am a Python expert with 10+ years of experience. I also have experience with AI and worked with the IDE teams to take AI code suggestions to GA. Currently I'm working on several features that include AI usage, and revisions to existing Duo features.
