We have discussed the topic in Slack - (copy of Slack conversation). The current process is not efficient, this MR makes the description of X more clear, and helps move Y forward.
https://handbook.gitlab.com/handbook/product/categories/features/#govern-authentication-group Still refers to groupauthentication owning the Customizable Roles feature when it has been now owned by groupauthorization for some time and has been expanding the available roles and permissions. This MR corrects the feature category for the feature and should update the group association automatically as well.
