Why is this change being made?

I've been working as a trainee Figma maintainer for almost 1 year. In this time I have reviewed 24 MRs and authored 8 MRs.

Larger efforts

• Interview and survey Figma users to better understand their workflows
• Author the new navigation component and get all 6 variants merged to main
• Go through the release process for 17.1 of all the libraries and managing the release notes
• Contribute to UI Kit v2 effort including refactoring and rebuilding components to meet our current standards:
  • Breadcrumb
  • Banner
  • Popover

• Understanding the conditions that result in breaking changes
• Finding ways to make through reviews more efficient (e.g. a plugin that populates the file with all possible instances)
• Refactor or rebuild buggy components
