Update GitLab language around military analogies

stella treas requested to merge master-patch-987d into master

Why is this change being made?

E-Group has considered a number of analogies to capture the importance of winning against GitHub with AI. In past years, we have not been head-to-head with a competitor. This changed.

To win, GitLab must continue to build upon what distinguishes it in Ops and Security. GitLab must also win in AI. We are now at “war” with GitHub, our most significant competitor.

In saying, “war,” we are using simple language. We are clear in our need to win and who we must win against. We did not find an alternative term that conveys the need to win and the urgency in doing this now. “Head-to-head” was the closest alternative, but it didn’t capture the importance to GitLab’s future of materially advancing in AI and doing this quickly.

Note: We do not mean to conflate this with real warfare–which is tragic and all too present in the world. We mean this in a business sense as “war” is a commonly accepted business term and a boring solution.
