Update to Irish statutory benefits and leave handbook page to reflect legislative development (and imminent development)
Why is this change being made?
This is a change to the language in the section on Irish Statutory Sick Pay as the measure is not yet in force (the bill was published in draft in January 2022 - which may explain why it's there already) but the Act was not enacted until July 2022 and is not yet commenced/effective).
There is also a change to the Parent's leave section to reflect an increase/extension to the entitlement from 5 to 7 weeks, effective 1 July 2022 under SI 333 of 2022: Parent’s Leave and Benefit Act 2019 (Extension of Periods of Leave) Order 2022.
This updates the handbook information in order to be accurate and current.
