FY23-Q1: CI/CD UX - Pulse survey actions

This key result is part of the “Make our UX department a "best place to work" for designers, researchers, and technical writers” objective. Each year the Pulse survey is sent to the entire company to measure various aspects of engagement and health. Our goal is to identify team-level opportunities from the Pulse survey and take clear action with the CI/CD UX Team. 🔗 See KR in Ally

🚀 Action items

Growth & Development

  • I believe there are good career opportunities for me at GitLab
  • GitLab is a great company for me to make a contribution to my development

Since our score is overall positive, I'd like to propose that we continue to focus on Growth & Development. G&D, together with Role satisfaction were our highest scoring areas in FY22. Our team has worked on G&D since FY22. In FY23, team members can leverage IGP as an option for structure.

  • 100% of the team members have a Growth and Development conversation with their manager, to understand their career goals and discuss opportunities, prior to March 18th, 2022.
  • 100% of the team members to have an Individual Growth Plan by April 30th, 2022.

This is related to the "Action" focus area in the survey. To improve this metric, we need to take observable and appropriate action on the points we chose to focus on for this metric to change.
