https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/engineering/quality/performance-indicators/#mrarr

Short term

DRI: Kyle

  • Continue to push existing MRARR contributing MRs to merge
  • We still need to focus on existing contributors in the short term and get contributions into a stable stream

Long term

DRI: Tanya MRARR - defined a 4 step plan for TAMs to engage customers with value proposition.

Playbook

  1. Communicate improvements, what have we done to shorten CI time and iterate faster
  2. Alignment of benefits, ask what are the customer’s top wants and who can contribute
  3. Commit to timely merge, with expected release to realize the contributions.
    • Identify ways to have it merged in a timely manner
    • Have a timeline, make it sure which release it will land Available in the product.
  4. Recognition of work
    • MRARR wins slack channel
    • Recognition with the customer.

Future Value proposition

  • Developer certification.
  • MRs contributed now will be counted towards this certification
