Proposal: Focus Days for Support Engineers

Proposal

Once #3771 (closed) has been implemented, this proposal is to consider implementing a schedule that defines one focus day per week month for each engineer.

What is this for? To give everyone the flexibility to:

  • Focus on self-development and career goals (long/short-term).
  • Focus on projects, training, collaboration, helping other engineers.
  • Take a break from taking in new tickets (non-FRT day).
  • Have a day void of scheduling customer calls (block out in calendly?), if possible.

Benefits:

  • Give engineers a day to "breathe" a bit, apart from daily in-take of new tickets.
  • Allow engineers to focus on things they may not otherwise be able to throughout most days of the month.
  • No need for "swapping", just look for a day to take (as you would for F&F).
