Description
The focus of this deep dive is to:
- Spread the knowledge of ElasticSearch.
- Generate a deeper understanding of ElasticSearch.
- Improve existing documentation for ElasticSearch.
By the end of this deep, the documentation should be as mistake free and solid as possible, helping others (users, engineers, etc.) in their future ElasticSearch endeavors.
TEWBAT
By the end of this deep dive, the engineer will be able to:
Setup ElasticSearch on the GitLab instance
Setup ElasticSearch on a remote server
Fully integrate ElasticSearch into GitLab
Install and utilize the beta indexer
Perform basic troubleshooting of GitLab-ElasticSearch integrations
Suggest general tweaks to improving ElasticSearch
Pre-learning Task
Before the session please:
- Read through Installing ElasticSearch Documentation
- Read through GitLab ElasticSearch Integration Documentation
- Attempt a GitLab-ElasticSearch integration
