Lazarus IDE Editor: Invalid indent of column block (3)
- Lazarus/FPC Version: <Lazarus 3.99 (rev main_3_99-1837-gc4644e5d63) FPC 3.2.2 x86_64-linux-gtk2>
- Operating System: Linux Debian 64 12.5.0
- CPU / Bitness: 64
What happens
A block of text highlighted in column mode does not move normally left and right on the screen.
We have already discussed this topic with you :
Lazarus IDE Editor: Invalid indent of column block in 2023
Lazarus IDE Editor: Invalid indent of a row block or column block at the end of 2022
During all this time and until today, I have been working with these changes and have not noticed anything to prevent it.
The "Tab"key is processed normally.
First, select a block of text through the column selection mode (in Lazarus, assign it yourself). Then, to move left and right, use the keys that you assign yourself.
If you use SynEdit directly, then switch to column selection mode via Ctrl+Shift+C and move the selected column block left and right via Ctrl+Shift+I / Ctrl+Shift+U.
You can use Tab / Shift+Tab in both Lazarus and SynEdit.
I suggest you try it.
What did you expect
Fix it.
Steps to reproduce
Copy files to any folder with Lazarus 3.99 to your hard disk.
git_diff-p.patch git_diff-p.patch
git_apply.sh git_apply.sh
and execute git_apply.sh
After that, build Lazarus and use the horizontal left-right movement of the selected column block.
