Description:
Currently, files specified in addition to input and output in the program statement fall back to input and output if no file is given when calling the program in the command line. Many other compilers default to file names taken from the names of the file variables in the program code or at least have an option for this behavior. gpc for example has the option "--transparent-file-names" (see http://www.nada.kth.se/kurser/su/DA1/gpc/gpc_101.html).
Can someone add this feature or at least give me some hints, where to start in the code? I tried briefly, but got lost in the code of fpc.
P.S. I know that the behavior can be achieved with an assignment statement like
assign (file, 'file');
The point is that there is code out there without this statement.
MiSchi.
