plughw ALSA device not available
Context
Audio app tries to open plughw:0,0 by default. It fails.
org.freedesktop.Platform/x86_64/19.08
Description
plughw:0,0 isn't available.
Inside the sandbox, with alsa-utils compiled (version match ALSA in 19.08):
$ aplay -v -D plughw:0,0 ~/vowel_a.wav
ALSA lib ../../src/dlmisc.c:170:(snd_dlsym_verify) unable to verify version for symbol _snd_pcm_plug_open
ALSA lib ../../src/dlmisc.c:295:(snd1_dlobj_cache_get) symbol _snd_pcm_plug_open is not defined inside [builtin]
aplay: main:828: audio open error: No such device or address
On the host (Fedora 32 x86_64) using alsa-utils provided:
$ aplay -v -D plughw:0,0 ~/vowel_a.wav
Playing WAVE '/home/hub/vowel_a.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 44100 Hz, Stereo
Acceptance Criteria
This should work.
Note
I'm not sure if that's something that flatpak itself would need to fix by providing a better alsa config Also the ALSA error are worrying and only happen in the sandbox.
