Update ChangeLog/NEWS with my recent changes

Hello, I saw you are releasing the first beta for 1.0, congrats!

It would be nice to add a couple of lines in the changelog before the final 1.0 is out.

  • Selection can be moved and freely modified, its size is displayed in UI (Sébastien Rombauts)
  • Undo/Redo buttons now display the operations they act upon (Sébastien Rombauts)

I will keep trying to provide improvements to the selection & other minor Quality of Life improvements in UI in the meantime, or for post 1.0 release if it's better to wait.
