Siril export a FITS header outside the standard
Siril version: Alpha
I noted that in the header Siril writes negative values outside the standard byte range 11-30 in the available 80 bytes. It writes them in the range 11-31. The last digit of the exponent could be omitted by some programs resulting in a large error. See attached screenshot. FITS standard 4.0 specifies:
FITS standard
4.0
4.2.4. Real floating-point number
If the value is a fixed-format real floating-point number, the ASCII representation shall be right-justified in Bytes 11 through 30.
This happens for for the values with a minus sign. If I remember well i have reported this some time ago to the CFITSIO? group. But after some internal discussions there they decided to leave it for accuracy reasons. So I don't think you can fix it. Just note this could cause compatibility issues. Maybe it should be reported to the CFITSIO developers again.
Cecile knows about it. :)
