Add Asterion Solver: blind plate solving with Asterion

Description

This merge request adds a script to integrate with the Asterion plate solver. This new plate solver is a very fast blind plate solver which needs to be installed separately by the user. It would generally solve any image in less than a second. The script lets the user configure Asterion and download catalogs.

Changes Made

  • Asterion/AsterionSolver.py: PyQt6 dialog from the Scripts menu, and a command line for pyscript (--solve, --no-hints, --list-catalogs, --download-catalog, --executable).
  • The image is handed to Asterion as a temporary single-channel 16-bit FITS file.
  • Solutions of top-down images are flipped, as Siril keeps solutions in bottom-up coordinates.

image

None.

Additional Notes

  • External dependency: Asterion Solver (0.1.8 or higher), installed separately, with a catalog that the script can download. The path of the executable is configurable and remembered.
  • Tested on Linux and Windows with Siril 1.4.3: solutions agree with Siril's own solver within a pixel at the corners, for top-down and bottom-up FITS and for JPEG.

Merge Request Checklists

  • The script complies with the sirilpy API (python scripts).
  • I have avoided unnecessary or excessive imports (python scripts).
  • I have included a version and licence in my script (a SPDX licence identifier is sufficient).
  • I have included author details and a means of contact (may be social media) for reporting issues.
  • I acknowledge I am responsible for maintaining my script and that unmaintained scripts may be removed if they stop working.
