Logging and two bug fixes

Hans-Christoph Steiner requested to merge eighthave/fdroidserver:logging-and-two-bug-fixes into master

This is a set of improvements to how things are logged, both from the command line and in the build processes. There are two small bug fixes also included since I worked on them while doing the other stuff. Details in the commit messages.
