New applicationId: Geometric Weather

  • All related fdroiddata and RFP issues have been referenced in this merge request
  • The upstream app source code repo contains the app metadata (summary/description/images/changelog/etc) in a Fastlane or Triple-T folder structure
  • Builds with fdroid build
  • Releases are tagged

I'm one of the maintainer of the Geometric Weather FOSS organization: https://github.com/geometric-weather-foss/GeometricWeather

We currently have our fork of the Geometric Weather app in F-Droid under the com.mbestavros.geometricweather applicationId.

Thanks to work recently merged upstream, we are now able to have a build flavor directly upstream, which implies we will keep the original applicationId: wangdaye.com.geometricweather.

Once this gets merged, we will add a note on the Geometric Weather fork to head users over the "new" app, as discussed here: https://github.com/WangDaYeeeeee/GeometricWeather/pull/179

The metadata is basically a copy/paste of the com.mbestavros.geometricweather.yml with minor changes: since we are now building from upstream repo, other build flavors are triggering false positives by F-Droid scanner so I added a few lines to edit/remove these parts.
