Adds KeyTab, an open-source Android input method editor (IME).

  • Current release: v0.17 (versionCode 32) — commit, CurrentVersion and CurrentVersionCode in the metadata are kept in sync with each tag.
  • No INTERNET permission, no trackers, no analytics, no proprietary dependencies — word prediction runs fully on-device.
  • Permissions are minimal and feature-mapped: READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (maxSdk 32), READ_MEDIA_IMAGES and READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED; no MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE. File access is requested on demand from the settings screen (no prompt at app start since v0.17), and the background image uses the system photo picker, which needs no permission at all.
  • 100% Kotlin, Gradle wrapper in the repo, R8 minification.
  • Tests: 520 unit tests in 55 suites, plus one comprehensive instrumented pass over the real IME (long text, number row, symbol layer, long-press extras, backspace, space, dot, Enter, TAB, Shift, password field) on an API-34 emulator; CI runs detekt, Android Lint and a Kover coverage gate (hard thresholds: 60% line / 45% branch).
  • Reproducible build verified bit-identical for v0.15 and v0.17 (pipeline 9/9 green: https://gitlab.com/piot5/fdroiddata/-/pipelines/2923311708).
