New app: Coinos (io.coinos.fdroid)
Required
- The app complies with the inclusion criteria
- The original app author has been notified (and does not oppose the inclusion) — I am the author
- All related fdroiddata and RFP issues have been referenced in this merge request — none exist
- Builds with
fdroid buildand all pipelines pass - There is an issue tracker and contact info of the author so that we can report bugs and contact the author.
Strongly Recommended
- The upstream app source code repo contains the app metadata (summary/description/images/changelog/etc) in a Fastlane or Triple-T folder structure —
fastlane/metadata/android/en-US/in the repo - Releases are tagged and auto update is enabled — tags
fdroid-v<version>
Suggested
- External repos are added as git submodules instead of srclibs — none needed
- Enable Reproducible Builds —
Binaries+AllowedAPKSigningKeys; two clean unsigned builds are byte-identical (sha256 e606e44c…), seedocs/REPRODUCIBLE.mdin the repo - Multiple apks for native code — no native code (a WebView shell with the web app bundled as assets)
Coinos is a self-custodial bitcoin wallet (Ark spending, on-chain savings, Lightning, nostr chat), MIT, source at https://github.com/coinos/coinosv3.
The app is a web app; the fdroid Gradle flavor bundles the built web app inside the APK (served to the WebView from assets), so what runs is what the tagged source builds — the live site is only reached for its APIs. The web build uses Bun, pinned by checksum in sudo; packageManager in package.json pins the same version.
