Workflow/label proposal
Not sure where it fits best – but as it's organisational, I thought admin can't be that wrong.
I'd propose to have a specific label in RFP signaling an app is ready to be integrated.
Background: When a request is made, in the initial phase (next to the bot checking the repo) there are tasks like improving on the app's description, filling gaps like license, preparing a metadata template etc. – which do not necessarily require an experienced developer to be dealt with. I try to take as much load as possible from them, so they can concentrate on "integrating apps". Currently, when I think an app should be ready, I @ping
some of them to pick up – which I feel isn't entirely "fine".
I'd rather to it like the bot: adding a label to show the state. I think an app is ready, so I mark it e.g. ~ready
. If any developer has time to pick up, it's easy to identify RFPs that need their attention; then the dev e.g. self-assigns and removes the ~ready
flag to take the task out of the queue.
Opinions? Especially pinging affected developers: @relan @Rudloff @licaon-kter are those I most often ping then
