Using BUSCO trained model with augustus => Differing BUSCO scores?
Hello,
Is it expected that augustus genome annotation results obtained based on BUSCO training have different BUSCO scores than the BUSCO run used to train the model? I was wondering if this could be simply due to the algorithm BUSCO applies for gene finding or do I miss any helpful options that BUSCO applies when running augustus?
I generated BUSCO scores for a genome assembly with the '--long' option and got the following result:
C:96.1%[S:93.8%,D:2.3%],F:1.1%,M:2.8%,n:1013
However, when I try to use the 'retraining_parameters' by BUSCO to run augustus with the '--species=' argument individually and run BUSCO afterwards in protein mode I get a lower score:
C:94.6%[S:91.7%,D:2.9%],F:2.0%,M:3.4%,n:1013
BUSCO version is: 4.0.2 augustus-v3.3.3
Many thanks for any help!
Best wishes Christian
