Show resource allocation of each server
Problem/Opportunity Statement
As @ajneil pointed in #451 (closed):
I'd like to suggest that there be a way to view the actual resource allocation for each instance. Right now I can see percentage usage of disk and memory and cpu but no indication of the actual resources. The size "m1 - tiny" may mean something to the person who created the vm but not to the casual user and disk sizes can be overidden, so could the flavour name could perhaps have a link to provide more info with the actual resources?
What would success / a fix look like?
Building upon @cmart's comment, we need 2 things:
-
Show an info button beside size flavour (e.g. "m1.tiny") that opens a toggle tip enlisting total CPU, RAM, disk size allotment. This should be both in server details page and servers list where "size" is mentioned.
-
Show absolute quantities besides percentages in resource usage graphs on server page. This can be done in following possible ways (there can be better ways as well):
- Show "40 GB of 100 GB" as subtitle. It need to be taken care of that former value keeps changing as graph updates.
- Show a secondary Y-axis on right side with absolute quantities.
