Critigue for "lock settings" window
In this window (that one, where you can lock settings profile and encrypt settings file), there several things, that was not really obvious to me:
- Functionality gear-icon button was very not obvious to me. Usually, In GTK/GNOME/And just in most software, in password input field, on right side there button to show/hide password and it's usually icon with eye/closed eye. But here it's gear icon. Turns out, this button will generate pin-code for me, and output it into password text field and in repeat password field. Also, hovering mouse on it doesn't show any hints. I suggest add "Generate password" button, so it will be more obvious.
- When i saw this window first time, i was not sure why there 2 input fields. Maybe username+pin? No, it's pin + repeat pin. I suggest here do, as in most input fields (and how it done in GNOME itself, in Users -> Password):
When field is empty and unfocused , it will tell, what it expect. In this case, password and "repeat password".
- I'm not sure, what triangle with ! should mean here.
With some "epic" GIMP skills, i made mock up, how it could looks:
