cannot connect to jsbridge extension
Created by: d3rNarr
I followed the instructions in the Readme.md / Main page, but when I run the zrst2html example_portable.rst after a minute I get an error, that says:
#!bash
> zrst2pdf example_portable.rst
Exception: Sorry, cannot connect to jsbridge extension, port 24242
Googling and looking into this error (as far as I get it) suggests that something with the firefox extension does not work properly.
I installed the firefox extension from bitbucket and also tried to only install the jsbridge extension (which seems to be included in the zotero for reStructured Text extension), but nothing worked yet.
Also netstat -nap does not show any connection at port 24242.
I am running Ubuntu 12.10 with Unity on a 64 bit machine. The Firefox version is 20.0 and there are no plugins installed besides Zotero 4.0.5, Unitiy desktop integration, Ubuntu firefox modifikations, Unitiy websites integration and Global menubar integration.
I could reproduce the error on Ubuntu 12.4 with Gnome 3.
Any ideas what I can try? Any further information needed?

Hi Tino,
Thanks for the update. I've been having with this too. I'm running the same Ubuntu. I'm going to try to look seriously into it in the next couple days.

jsbridge is no longer used. I've switched to zotxt. zrst2pdf works fine for me, now. Portable citations are not yet supported, thought.

Thank you very much, after reinstalling the firefox extension everything works fine with the zot4rst build from mercurial and sphinx.
