Compilation of DALTON fails with "Error: Invalid character in name at (1)" in file "gptrygve.F" (CYGWIN, Windows-7-64bit)
Good afternoon
I am attempting to compile Dalton on Cygwin on Windows-7 (64-bit). The compilation fails at the file "gptrygve.F" with:
/home/craig/dalton/DALTON/gp/gptrygve.F:499:3:
499 | >>>>> insert appropriate OPEN statements in OPENDX.
| 1
Error: Non-numeric character in statement label at (1)
/home/craig/dalton/DALTON/gp/gptrygve.F:499:4:
499 | >>>>> insert appropriate OPEN statements in OPENDX.
| 1
Error: Invalid character in name at (1)
make[2]: *** [CMakeFiles/dalton.dir/build.make:6688: CMakeFiles/dalton.dir/DALTON/gp/gptrygve.F.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [CMakeFiles/Makefile2:204: CMakeFiles/dalton.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [Makefile:146: all] Error 2
I'm using gcc (GCC) 11.3.0, g++ (GCC) 11.3.0, GNU Fortran (GCC) 11.3.0, Python 3.7.12. CMake identifies the system as: CMAKE_SYSTEM_INFO_FILE == "Platform/CYGWIN", CMAKE_SYSTEM_NAME == "CYGWIN", CMAKE_SYSTEM == "CYGWIN-3.3.6-341.x86_64"
I tried increasing the indentation of the statement on line 499 to start at column 7 (after some reading on Fortran 77/90 compiling) but this just produces the same error for the same line (at different positions in the line).
Thank-you, Craig.
