To use this VS Code extension make sure you have an account on MakerLog, if you don't have one, sign up quickly and come back here.
Once you are logged into your account go to Tasks and navigate to Apps.
You will see a bunch of integration available on the page. We only need to create a integration with webhook, so find the webhook integration and click Install.
Now we are on the webhook integration page, you can select a project and MakerLog will link the webhook to it or you can create a non-linked webhook.
After then it will give you a webhook URL.
Just make sure to keep it safe and secret; MakerLog will not show it to you again.
Head over to your VS Code App and open your extension panel (press CTRL + SHIFT + X). Search for "MakerLog"
To install the extension, click on the install button.
Press CTRL + , to open settings and search for MakerLog settings.
Paste the webhook URL you have create from the MakerLog website.
That's it. Now you are ready to use the extension.
Task creation is the core feature of this extension. To create a task, you need to run the command MakerLog: Let's start logging by pressing Ctrl + Shift + p.
MakerLog: Let's start logging
If the extension is not activate, it will get activated and then it will prompt with a input box, where you can type your task.
After typing your task, hit Enter. Just like we have the option of marking task as To Do, Doing, and Done. We have similar functionality here.
You can mark your task as Done or To Do.
🎉 Voilà, you have added the task to your MarkerLog.
