Various enhancements

better startup.sh handling including letting changes to startup.sh cause a scaling group recycle better documentation ssh line output for hinting how to get to the bootstrap node saner use of curl/ec2-metadata since some distros don't even pack ifconfig anymore startup.sh will now cause a node to wait for config before proceeding. the 'depends on' delay wasn't enough previously.
