Fix nontrivial_option_processing

Some nightly change between 2022-10-01 and now has broken nightly builds when they use nontrivial_option_processing through --all-features.

That's OK for the moment (and the 0.3.6 release) as that is a nightly feature and these do tend to break -- this PR appears like it'll fix it, but it breaks the stable version instead, so maybe just sit it out until RPITIT ...?
