Read CSV "file series" for non-integer time values
There is no problem reading a "file series" for integer paraview times, say t=0,1,2,...
like
mic_0000.csv
mic_0001.csv
mic_0002.csv
- ...
But, what about t=1.5
, Paraview seems not to accept formats like mic_0001.5.csv
. Of course, this seems to be related with the fact that the point is used as a more general delimiter, rather than just a "decimal point".
Then what to do?
Some options are:
- Follow the discussion in this post, pointing to this example. This seems to work. What I don't like of this option is that the path of the file having times for each file, and the path for the csv files must be set in the
script
andrequestinformation script
fields of a programmable source. That is not immediate for end users. It would be nice if the programable source could access the path of the directory set when loading a state using the option "search files under specified directory", but it seems not to be possible. - Don't use
csv
files, usexmdf
(orvtu
). The piece missing here (for me) is that I don't want to save data for the whole mesh, but for specific points. I supose this is possible. - Load
csv
files with integers and sync with times from the other datasets. There is a filter for something like this, here, but I've not succeed putting this to work. The problem seems to be that in my case times from the different dataset are not close to one another.
