As a user uploading csv for PowerShaper Tracker, I want clearer instructions about the csv format, so that my upload will be successful first time
Background
The message on the screen is currently as follows:
https://tracker.powershaper.io/new-job/80/upload-csvs/
Get data from CSV - steps
Business case
Elaine: This message led me to take a lot of time experimenting before I got the file in the correct format. The timestamp guidance was particularly difficult to understand, and would benefit from an example. There was no guidance on headings until I tried and failed, rather than the guidance being there upfront.
Details
Suggested guidance text:
"
CSVs should have at least two columns. Further columns are allowed but ignored.
- the timestamp in ISO format, with heading “datetime”, “timestamp” or “index”
- Example of this format: 2022-07-01 01:30:00+00:00
- the kwh values consumed as decimal with heading “value”
"
Acceptance criteria
- Given the user wishes to upload smart meter data to measure the metered energy savings of their retrofit
- When the user arrives on the upload csv screen
- Then the user sees the guidance text above
