add function and test for calculate_min_intensity

In general, I'm reusing the same code, which is very inefficient and long winded. I'm writing a function called calculate_atom_position intensity() , so I'll commit that soon. It might make it all a bit easier to keep track of these, as I want to add mean, median, total etc. also.
