The 17.0 major release is coming on May 16, 2024! This version brings many exciting improvements to GitLab, but also removes some deprecated features. I have some customized backends and I have longed for the ability to structure the conf files to be a little prettier. Simple small contribution. I can go update the prepackaged conf files to take advantage of this if that is wanted. Feel free to reject this if you'd like further detail.
