- Length did not separate reads, tic-toc write/close for picoput/picoget works
- Prefix NUL char is needed to allow sending nothing (but a mere synchroniser)
- Both picoput and piconow adhere to the new protocol, and picoget follows
- Incompatible with PICO <= v0.3.1 or d9435f7f
