Turn off logging
There's a long-standing bug in Ubuntu asking for a feature to turn off logging. I've seen this issue as well. The discord app tries to get a process list to see what games I'm playing. Since about the only game I play in /usr/games/go-fish (which I suspect it doesn't recognise, kids today, distance from lawn, etc), I'm not keen to turn that deny off. A chat app doesn't need my process list, sorry.
However, I also don't need millions of log entries about it. Yes, I can (and have) adjust rsyslog configs but it's still spamming dmesg and obscuring messages there that I actually do care about.
So, would it be possible to configure AppArmor to quietly block things?
The original LaunchPad bug:
AppArmor really needs a way to control logging of denials/violations on a per profile basis. Right now I have a program that I have restricted beyond what it wants in order to keep it safe (for me). The program still works fine but does not have access to some resources. Nonetheless it still tries regularly (every few seconds) to access these resources. Right now I have no way to prevent my logs from filling with garbage messages from these attempts and this makes it hard to see anything legitimate in the logs.
