Navbar + toolbar take a big area of the screen on mobile devices
When using the default UI for the docs at I found that the navbar (black on in the original page Antora UI) and toolbar (grey) take a lot of screen real estate. This is worst when using landscape mode.
To provide online docs for the AsciiDoc IntelliJ plugin I took two approaches as a remedy:
- tweaked the CSS to reduce the height of the navbar on small screens
- added some JavaScript to make the navbar scroll out of the window on small screens when scrolling down, and re-appearing when scrolling up a little or tapping on the "home" icon on the toolbar. This emulates the behavior you see with the browser toolbar on mobile devices.
See https://github.com/ahus1/intellij-asciidoc-plugin.ahus1.de/blob/master/_antora/supplemental_ui/partials/scrollnav.hbs for the JavaScript and https://intellij-asciidoc-plugin.ahus1.de/docs/users-guide/index.html for a working example.
(for reference: current Antora UI on a simulated mobile device; hight might be further reduced by a browser window toolbar):
Please let me know if this would be "in scope" for the default UI, or something that would be left for individual sites to be developed. I can then either help with a pull request or close this issue.
