AIMG records include DSE CHANGE command effecting the change
Final Release Note
AIMG records (After-Images of database blocks) reported by MUPIP JOURNAL -EXTRACT -DETAIL include the DSE CHANGE command that caused the block state to change. Previously they did not. (#96 (closed))
Description
Currently DSE logs its actions in the form of an AIMG (after image) journal record. to each GDS block that changed. This logs only the post-dse-update state of the block. Figuring out exactly what DSE command the user ran to achieve this state is not straightforward (from just the after state of the block). It is desirable for the actual DSE command (e.g. CHANGE -BLOCK=10 -BSIZ=40) in the journal file as part of an existing record or a new type of journal record.
Note that this also means non-journaled database files won't have their DSE commands recorded anywhere. That is considered acceptable.
