$VIEW("WORDEXP") uses wordexp() functionality for shell-like expansion of strings. For example $VIEW("WORDEXP","~ $SHELL")
returns the string /home/ydbuser /bin/bash
in case the process has ydbuser
as the userid with a home directory of /home/ydbuser
and /bin/bash

$VIEW("WORDEXP")
lets one avail the wordexp() functionality for doing shell like expansion of strings in M. For example $VIEW("WORDEXP","~ $SHELL")
returns the string /root /bin/bash
in case the user executing it is root
with a home directory of /root
and has /bin/bash
as its login shell.
