your hardware varies. i run an intel i7-10510U (max 4.9 ghz) with an ssd whose smartctl reports failed (but it hasn't absolutely died yet, somehow). your software varies. i run linux-xanmod 6.7.9 with 1319 packages (bloat kekw)

Note: i am still working on this pr, but not pushing to gitlab (i don't use gitlab on a daily basis). i am instead pushing perf updates to my fork, exFetch and then when im done with that i'll push the perf-related changes here
