Planet Population ECO Bug
I've discovered some odd behavior which results in maxing out a planet's population while keeping the ECO slider at 0.
Steps to reproduce:
- Start a new game, play as any race other than Silicoids.
- Population of the planet is 50/100.
- Slide the ECO slider to 0 and lock it.
- Execute next turn.
- Population is 50/66. Waste is 34.
- Unlock ECO slider, move it to zero, re-lock it.
- Execute next turn.
- Population is 51/43. Waste is 57.
- Unlock ECO slider, move it to zero, re-lock it.
- Execute next turn.
- Population is 51/28. Waste is 72.
- Unlock ECO slider, move it to zero, re-lock it.
- Execute next turn.
- Population is 99/18. Waste is 82.
- Execute next turn.
- Population is now 100/100. Waste is 0. (Hooray!)
This is a neat bug and gets a new planet up to maximum population much faster than normal! I have only tested it on the 1st planet in a new game, not subsequent planets.
