Revisit the hibernate mappings
Created by: tsodring
It is time to take a look at the hibernate mappings. Some mappings are bi-directional, which I believe is dangerous to scalability.
If you e.g take the relationship series->file. If we were to load a series with all it's children, and it has 40000 children, then we will see some performance issues. I think there are few potential performace "bombs" in there.
It's just one of those things that we really should document, that we understand the performance implications of the domain model in hibernate up against the REST interface.
