TAP GUI freezes when using remote desktop connection
Environment: Windows x, y-bit Microsoft Windows 10.0 X64 OpenTAP 9.9.3
Steps to reproduce:
HOX: Does not happen every time - but quite often when using TAP on remote desktop connection
- Take remote connection to another PC with TAP GUI (Windows remote desktop connection application)
- Open TAP GUI
- Switch back to your own PC screen
- Go back to that remote PC (using remote desktop connection application)
Actual result: TAP GUI freezes / does not respond to clicks
Expected result: TAP GUI not freezing / does respond to clicks
Other remarks: HOX1: Because this bug does not happen every time it is quite difficult to debug.
No errors or anything new will occur in the session log.
HOX2: TAP seems to run "normally" - e.g. windows 10 does not say "app does not respond"
It simply does not respond to any click events.
On the image below, you can see when you try to "Close window" from task bar, TAP will prompt "Really Quit?" window. However, it does not respond when you try to click on that prompt window either.
The only way to close TAP is to kill it through Task Manager
Other remarks 2:
Not sure if related at all, but same thing happens with Keysight Command Expert -application
