Crash/Freeze when flying straight up or down in third person

When flying forwards or backwards with TCL and the camera facing directly straight down or straight up and in third person, the game unloads all cells, switches to a loading screen on black with the message initializing data, and the ram usage skyrockets as the progress bar fills. Upon the bar filling to completion the debug console gets spammed with errors and the game stops responding and has to be force closed (meaning a crash dump is not generated)

I can only trigger this in the nightly, not in 0.48.
Disabling object paging causes the game to instead of crashing upon the completion of the progress bar, it loads you in to an empty void and no character inputs seem to work, but you can still do UI inputs, which show the game is running at sub 1 fps with the entire frametime being cull.

Trying to exit the game in this state via the escape menu causes it to freeze, eventually closing, still not generating a crash dump[openmw.log]
